The Story of Kindred

Kindred Skincare Co. began quietly.

Not in a laboratory built for marketing campaigns, nor in the orbit of trends, influencers, or fleeting ingredients with impossible promises attached to them.

It began with sensitive skin.
And an engineer.

For more than a decade, Kindred developed a devoted following not through spectacle, but through consistency. Through formulations created methodically, carefully, and with an understanding that skin responds best to balance, quality, and restraint.

Long before “clean beauty” became a category, Kindred was working with botanical oils, plant actives, and thoughtful formulations designed to support the skin rather than wage war against it.

The philosophy was always old-world at heart.

Not modern luxury in the glossy sense.
Something quieter.

The feeling of turning down a narrow London side street and discovering an apothecary that has occupied the same small storefront for 150 years. Drawers worn smooth from use. Amber bottles in the windows. Preparations made properly because they always have been.

No reinvention.
No noise.
Just trust earned slowly over time.

As the beauty world changed, the name “Kindred” became increasingly crowded by imitators, trend-driven brands, and companies eager to borrow the language of heritage without the history behind it.

Rather than continue fighting endlessly over a name, the decision was made to move the formulations where they truly belonged.

Into Stags Head Retreat.

Not as a reinvention, but as a homecoming.

Because the ethos behind Kindred had always lived here anyway:
the old-world apothecary, the slower pace, the belief that beautiful things should also be useful, and that quality should never need exaggeration.

The formulations themselves remain exactly the same.
The standards remain exactly the same.
The devotion remains exactly the same.

Only the sign above the door has changed.

Kindred now lives within The Apothecary at Stags Head Retreat — among the old wood shelves, etched glass bottles, botanical oils, and the sort of quiet craftsmanship that inspired it from the beginning.
